We empower communities with information to help them make informed decisions in the fight against drug and substanmce abuse. CADASA Trust works with and alongside communities to fight the war against drugs. We do Prevention and Awareness Programmes at all levels, children from the age of eight, to parents to grandparents. Through our High On Life Project we enter schools to discuss issues that lead kids to drugs and what happens after taking drugs both in the short term and long term. We also engage the community to offer counseling to parents with children who have been exposed to drugs . We work with both the school and the family as they are complimentary bodies that work together to raise a well rounded responsible adult.
Mazvita Shonhiwa, founder of CADASA, saw at close range the devastating effects of drugs both locally and abroad during her stay in the United States of America. She saw lives ending before they had even started. She saw whole families having their lives disrupted by the Drug and Substance Abuse of a single person. Her experiences led her to bring CADASA to life in 2014.
She also realised it need not be like that. A conviction that another life was possible. A life of endless possibilities. And she set out to do something about it. CADASA is the result of that conviction. CADASA commenced operations in 2015.
